Car Parts Direct 12U hockey nets 1-2 record

FAIRMONT — The Car Parts Direct 12U girls hockey team of Fairmont posted one win and a pair of losses during ice action Jan. 16-17 at Martin County Arena in Fairmont.

Brooklyn Murphy produced a game-high four goals and goalie Lexi Sundeen netted a shutout to steer Fairmont to an 11-0 triumph over Okoboji on Jan. 17.

Maia Goerndt collected two goals and one assist for Car Parts Direct, Jadyn Musser tallied two goals and Madison Sokoloski distributed two assists in the winning performance.

Lily Meyer, Lilly Truesdell and Harper Artz each contributed one goal to Fairmont’s 61-shot-on-goal effort, while Bella Newville and Joslyn Meyer doled out one helper each.

Luverne skated to a 17-0 rout over Fairmont earlier on Jan. 17.

Sundeen generated a game-best 43 saves, while Car Parts Direct mustered just four shots on goal.

Marshall doubled the score on Fairmont, 6-3, during ice action Jan. 16.

Murphy notched a pair of goals, Meyer doled out two assists, while Goerndt chipped in one goal.

Sundeen turned away 44 Marshall shots, while Fairmont tallied 14 shots on net.

The Car Parts Direct 12U girls hockey team plays host to Mankato at 2 p.m. Saturday at Martin County Arena in Fairmont before playing host to New Ulm/Sleepy Eye at 2:30 p.m. Sunday.

The REMAX Bantam hockey team netted a split decision during arena action last weekend.

Tyson Pankow scored two goals and doled out one assist to help guide Fairmont to a 5-2 victory over Redwood Falls last Saturday in Redwood Falls.

Jace Teveldal and Jace Prindle each contributed one goal and one assist to the winning effort, while Mathew Cone chipped in a goal.

REMAX netminder Iliana Moeller recorded 18 saves to earn the win.

Windom claimed a 9-4 decision over Fairmont last Sunday at Martin County Arena in Fairmont.

Luke Kester collected a hat trick to pace REMAX’s offensive output, while Cone contributed one goal. Teveldal and Prindle distributed one assist apiece.

Fairmont goalie Isaiah Lockwood made 19 saves on the contest.

The REMAX Bantam hockey team hits the road to Marshall for a 2 p.m. game Sunday.

Redwood Falls rolled to a 9-0 victory over the Fairmont Squirts hockey team last Sunday in Redwood Falls.

The Fairmont Squirts play host to Windom at 5:30 p.m. Saturday at Martin County Arena in Fairmont before traveling to New Ulm on Sunday for a 4:15 p.m. game against host New Ulm/Sleepy Eye.
