BEA to hold conferences Thursday

Parent-student-teacher conferences for Blue Earth Area High School students in grades 8-12 will be held virtually and in-person from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, May 2. Students and parents can use the link ‘Conferences Sign Up’ for times to meet with teachers. Please be sure to indicate whether you will be attending virtually or in person when you sign up. Teachers will be located in their classrooms. Students are encouraged to attend conferences along with their parents, or alone if parents are unable to attend. The entire staff and administration want to encourage attendance because parent-student-teacher conferences make a big difference in the academic success of each student.

Chubb House sets Saturday tea party

The Chubb House will host an old fashioned tea party from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, May 4, at the historic Chubb House located at 209 Lake Ave. in Fairmont. Come and enjoy a variety of sweet and savory delicacies, with your choice of tea or coffee. A $15 suggested donation is appreciated to assist with the ongoing updates needed at this charming old house.

Mother’s Day craft event Saturday at Fairmont Library

Join library staff to make a Mother’s Day craft, from 10:30 a.m. to noon Saturday, May 4 at the Fairmont Library, 110 N. Park St. in Fairmont. All supplies are provided. There is no cost to attend and registration is not required. If you have questions, call the library at (507) 238-4207.
