Memorial Day program Monday in Fairmont Memorial Day program in Fairmont will be held Monday, May 27. Ceremonies will begin with flag raising by the Sons of American Legion at 9:30 a.m. at Veteran’s Park between East 2nd St. and East 3rd St. in Fairmont. Help sought for placing of flags Fairmont American Legion Post 36 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1222 will be placing American flags on veterans’ graves Saturday, May 25, at Lakeside Cemetery, Fairmont. If you would like to volunteer, plan on meeting at the Lakeside Cemetery office by 7 a.m. All ages are welcome to assist and will be grouped with map readers at the cemetery office. Ruby’s Pantry slated Monday in Sherburn Ruby’s Pantry will be held Monday, May 20, at the Regional Worship Center, 2 Crossroads Drive in Sherburn. Distribution will begin around 5:30 p.m. and continue until 7 p.m. This will be a drive-through distribution again. Limited pre-pay is available by going to rubyspantry.org and find the express track link. You can pre-pay until noon the day before the distribution. BEA Lions plan Friday athletic program The 64th annual Lions Club Athletic Program will be held 7 p.m. Friday, May 17, in the Performing Arts Center at Blue Earth Area High School, with dessert served following the program.
