Summer events for kids at libraries
Join library staff for Tween Time beginning 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 16, at the Fairmont Library, 110 N. Park St. in Fairmont. They will have fun activities for teens and tweens. There will also be weekly fun for kids in grades K-4 beginning 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 16, at the Fairmont Library, 110 N. Park St. in Fairmont. Chubb House holds Wednesday coffee
The public is invited to join Chubb House committee members for coffee and treats beginning 10 a.m. every Wednesday morning at the Chubb House, 209 Lake Ave. in Fairmont. Stop by each Wednesday and appreciate one of Fairmont’s historical treasures.
Truman church plans Wednesday salad luncheon
St. Paul’s Lutheran Church of Truman will hold its annual salad luncheon from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 17, at the church located at 110 E. 4th St. N. in Truman. They will have over 40 salads, bars and beverage. Take-outs are offered and an elevator is available. Cost is $8 per person.
Book signing Wednesday at Pioneer Museum
The Martin County Historical Society will host a book signing and presentation by Patrick Garry regarding his book entitled “The Power of Gratitude,” a memoir of Michael and Elizabeth Garry and their lives in Fairmont and Martin County. It will take place 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 17, at the Pioneer Museum in Fairmont. Pat will have a presentation and be available to sign copies of his book. There is no charge and the public is invited to attend.
