Driving after cancellation — Jennifer M. Schmars, 27, of Fairmont; fined $285.

Brenna Ida E. Abel, 19, of Fairmont was convicted of fourth-degree driving while impaired; fined $710, sentenced to jail 90 days, stayed 82 days for one year, credit for time served eight days, one year unsupervised probation, pay for and complete comprehensive assessment within 60 days of sentencing and follow all recommendations, must sign all releases for assessor to obtain collateral information from assigned probation agent(s), assigned social worker(s) if any, mental health treatment provider(s) if any, relevant family/household members and recent treatment providers as part of their assessment, must successfully complete the level of treatment and aftercare recommended rather than choosing a lesser level of care, no alcohol/controlled substance use with the exception of prescribed medications, no alcohol/controlled substance possession with the exception of prescribed medications, random testing, attend MADD impact panel, no same or similar. Additional charge of driving while impaired-alcohol concentration 0.08 within two hours was dismissed.

Benjamin C. Johnson, 22, of Fairmont received a stay of imposition pursuant to Minnesota statutes on a felony charge of receiving stolen property; fined $1,185, restitution $220, sentenced to jail 52 days, credit for time served 52 days, five years supervised probation, contact probation officer as directed, pay restitution within six months, successfully complete current treatment program and follow recommendations for care and aftercare, mental health screening as requested by agent, complete cognitive skill training such as Thinking for a Change as directed by agent, no alcohol/controlled substance use with the exception of prescribed medications, no alcohol/controlled substance possession with the exception of prescribed medications, random testing, provide list of prescribed medications to probation officer, no contact with victim(s), follow all state and federal criminal laws, contact probation agent within 72 hours if charged with a new crime; are in contact with law enforcement; if changes address, employment, or telephone number, cooperate with search of person, residence, vehicle, workplace, property, etc. by probation officer, give a DNA sample when directed, sign releases of information as directed, don’t use/possess firearms, ammunition, or explosives, don’t register to vote until discharged from probation and civil rights are fully restored. Also received a stay of imposition pursuant to Minnesota statutes on a separate felony charge of receiving stolen property; fined $500, sentenced to jail 52 days, credit for time served 52 days, five years supervised probation, contact probation officer as directed, restitution reserved for 30 days, successfully complete current treatment program and follow recommendations for care and aftercare, mental health screening, complete cognitive skill training such as Thinking for a Change as directed by agent, don’t leave Minnesota without court approval, no alcohol/controlled substance use with the exception of prescribed medications, no alcohol/controlled substance possession with the exception of prescribed medications, random testing, no contact with victim(s), follow all state and federal criminal laws, contact probation agent within 72 hours if charged with a new crime; are in contact with law enforcement; if changes address, employment, or telephone number, cooperate with search of person, residence, vehicle, workplace, property, etc. by probation officer, give a DNA sample when directed, sign releases of information as directed, don’t use/possess firearms, ammunition, or explosives, don’t register to vote until discharged from probation and civil rights are fully restored. An additional felony charge of theft-take/drive motor vehicle without owner consent, and misdemeanor charges of fleeing a peace officer by a means other than a motor vehicle, and financial transaction card fraud-use without consent, were all dismissed.
