Driving after cancellation — Tomas Garcia, 42, of Wells; fined $285.
Travis G. Mitchell, 26, of Fairmont received a stay of imposition pursuant to Minnesota statutes on a felony charge of fifth-degree controlled substance possession-not small amount of marijuana; fined $1,160, sentenced to jail five days, credit for time served five days, three years supervised probation, sentence to service 40 hours for indeterminate, contact probation officer as directed, complete chemical assessment within 30 days and follow all recommendations, no mood-altering chemicals including alcohol, no alcohol/controlled substance possession with the exception of prescribed medications, random testing, obtain permission from agent before leaving the state, complete cognitive skill training as directed by agent, follow all state and federal criminal laws, contact probation agent within 72 hours if charged with a new crime; are in contact with law enforcement; if changes address, employment, or telephone number, cooperate with search of person, residence, vehicle, workplace, property, etc. by probation officer, give a DNA sample when directed, sign releases of information as directed, don’t use/possess firearms, ammunition, or explosives, don’t register to vote until discharged from probation and civil rights are fully restored. Additional charges of dangerous weapons-metal knuckles/switch blade, and driving without a valid drivers license for vehicle class or type, were both dismissed.
Crystal Elizabeth F. Sell, 43, of Rochester was convicted of fourth-degree driving while impaired; fined $610, sentenced to jail 90 days, stayed 90 days for one year, one year supervised probation, contact probation officer as directed, complete current treatment program and follow all aftercare recommendations, no mood-altering chemicals, no alcohol/controlled substance possession with the exception of prescribed medications, random testing, attend MADD impact panel, follow all state and federal criminal laws, contact probation agent within 72 hours if charged with a new crime; are in contact with law enforcement; if changes address, employment, or telephone number, cooperate with search of person, residence, vehicle, workplace, property, etc. by probation officer, sign releases of information as directed, don’t use/possess firearms, ammunition, or explosives if prohibited.
Scott W. Schimel, 50, of Winnebago received an amended court decision on a felony charge of terroristic threats-reckless disregard risk; complete updated chemical assessment within five days and follow all recommendations taking first intake date if programming is recommended.
