Tessa L. James, 37, of Blue Earth was convicted on a felony charge of fifth-degree controlled substance possession-not small amount of marijuana; fined $1,160, commit to Commissioner of Corrections 13 months, stayed five years, sentenced to jail three days, credit for time served three days, five years supervised probation, contact probation officer as directed, obtain permission from agent before leaving the state, complete chemical assessment if recommended by probation agent, follow recommendations of evaluation, complete a neuro-psychological evaluation and follow all recommendations, no alcohol/controlled substance use with the exception of prescribed medications, no alcohol/controlled substance possession with the exception of prescribed medications, random testing, cognitive skill training as directed by probation agent, remain law-abiding, follow all state and federal criminal laws, contact probation agent within 72 hours if charged with a new crime; are in contact with law enforcement; if changes address, employment, or telephone number, cooperate with search of person, residence, vehicle, workplace, property, etc. by probation officer, give a DNA sample when directed, sign releases of information as directed, don’t use/possess firearms, ammunition, or explosives, don’t register to vote until discharged from probation and civil rights are fully restored. Additional charge of possession of drug paraphernalia-use or possession prohibited was dismissed.

Alexander S. Johnson, 21, of Fairmont received a stay of imposition pursuant to Minnesota statutes on a felony charge of fourth-degree criminal sex conduct-victim 13-15 and actor being older; sentenced to jail 60 days, credit for time served two days, may serve on EHM, work release is granted if eligible, 10 years supervised probation, contact probation officer as directed, obtain permission from agent before leaving the state, pay restitution if filed within 60 days, attend sex offender program and follow all recommendations, no direct or indirect contact with victim(s), no direct or indirect contact with victim or family, submit to polygraph examinations as directed, no use or possession of pornography or sexually explicit material, no contact with vulnerable adults unless approved by probation, no contact with persons under 18 unless approved by probation, defendant may not be discharged early unless approved by county attorney’s office, comply with predatory offender registration including photographing, fingerprinting and DNA, no alcohol/controlled substance use with the exception of prescribed medications, no alcohol/controlled substance possession with the exception of prescribed medications, random testing, follow all state and federal criminal laws, contact probation agent within 72 hours if charged with a new crime; are in contact with law enforcement; if changes address, employment, or telephone number, cooperate with search of person, residence, vehicle, workplace, property, etc. by probation officer, sign releases of information as directed, don’t use/possess firearms, ammunition, or explosives, don’t register to vote until discharged from probation and civil rights are fully restored. Additional felony charges of fourth-degree criminal sex conduct-victim 13-15 and actor being older, threats of violence, and engage in electronic communication relating or describing sexual conduct with a child, and misdemeanor charges of fifth-degree criminal sex conduct-non-consensual sex contact, were all dismissed.

Alberto Padron Jr., 28, of Fairmont was convicted of disorderly conduct-offensive/abusive/niosy/obscene; fined $285, sentenced to jail 90 days, stayed 90 days for one year, one year unsupervised probation, pay for and complete cognitive skill training, no non-incidental contact with neighbors, remain law-abiding, follow all state and federal law. Additional charge of indecent exposure-engage in lewd/indecent behavior was dismissed.

Jorge Garcia Corranza, 43, of Columbia Heights was convicted of driving after revocation; fined $285. Also convicted of no proof of motor vehicle insurance; fined $200.
