East Chain church plans coffee party

East Chain United Methodist Church will host a monthly community coffee party from 8:30-11 a.m. Saturday at the church in East Chain. Rolls, treats, coffee, tea and juice will be served. Donations accepted. Everyone is welcome.

Library announces closings

All Martin County libraries will be closed Monday in observance of Veterans Day.

Blood donation opportunities coming up

There will be two American Red Cross blood drive opportunities next week in the area. First, a blood drive will be held 1-6 p.m. Monday at the Regional Worship Center, 2 Crossroad Dr. in Sherburn. Walk-ins are welcome. Also, a blood drive will be held 1-6 p.m. Monday at Hope United Methodist Church, 12080 380th Ave., in Blue Earth. Manga/Anime Club to meet at library

Martin County Library staff will host a Manga/Anime Club for children grades 7-12 at 4 p.m. Tuesday at the library, 110 N. Park St., Fairmont. The event is free and no registration is required. For more information, call the library at (507) 238-4207.
