CREST Low Vision Support Group

Caregiver Response Effort and Service Team (CREST) will host a Low Vision Support Group at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, April 27, at the CREST office in Fairmont. The support group provides reassurance and assistance for individuals with vision-related problems. If experiencing a visual problem, individuals are welcome to sit out. Refreshments will be served. CREST Carlson Pillow Cleaning

Caregiver Response Effort and Service Team (CREST) will host the Carlson Pillow Cleaning Service from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 30, in the upper level of the Evangelical Covenant Church in Fairmont. Pillows will be fluffed, cleaned, deodorized and sanitized. Customers will receive new ticking for pillows, and pillows will be made cleaner than new for a little more than the cost of the pillow. Custom-made new pillows and down comforters will be for sale. Event proceeds will benefit CREST’s mission to enhance the quality of life for those they serve in Martin County. Goldfinch Community Musical Bingo

Community Musical Bingo will be from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 29, at Vista Prairie at Goldfinch Estates in Fairmont. Area seniors are welcome to participate with the Vista Prairie at Goldfinch Estates residents, enjoy music, company and chances to win prizes. Drinks and snacks will be served. UCC for free community meal

First Congregational United Church of Christ in Fairmont will host a free community meal beginning at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 29. The Fairmont Service Club will serve chicken pasta salad, savory vegetable salad, homemade dinner rolls, cupcakes and beverages. All are welcome to attend.

Odin Craft Mill Spring Show

The Odin Craft Mill 27th annual Spring Gift and Craft Show will be from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. from Thursday, April 30, to Sunday, May 3, and from Thursday, May 7, to Sunday, May 10, at 109 1st Street in Odin. Items include contemporary and reimagined decor, repurposed and new furniture, recycled art and various items from more than 170 vendors and crafters. Lunch will be served. CER Hips, Thighs and Otherwise

A workshop to strengthen lower-body muscles will be from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Monday, May 4, in a Zoom meeting. In this workshop, participants will learn the ’10 Minute Miracle Exercise’ series to strengthen lower body muscles quickly, increase metabolism and bone density; decrease two inches off the saddlebag area in two weeks, trim inches off the lower body by getting rid of excess water weight, breathing technique to stimulate fat metabolism and acupressure points for lymph circulation and drainage. Participants will need a resistance band. Registration is required, costs $29, closes Thursday, April 30 and can be completed on the CER webstore. MCHS open hours
