Kiwanis to meet
Early Risers Kiwanis Club of Fairmont will gather for their weekly breakfast at 6:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 29, at The Ranch restaurant in Fairmont. A meeting at 6:50 a.m. will follow. The meeting’s speaker will be Fairmont High School Speech Team member Allison Streit, who will share updates about the team. All are welcome to attend.
MLHS Mother’s Day Plant Sale
Martin Luther High School (MLHS) will have a Mother’s Day Plant Sale from Friday, May 1, to Friday, May 8, at the MLHS greenhouse in Northrop. A free Mother’s Day card is included with each purchase. NUHS FFA Plant Sale

Commander Party at Analog Games
Analog Games in downtown Fairmont will host Friday Night Magic-Commander Party at 6 p.m. on Friday, May 1. Admission is $5. The first 16 Commander players will receive a promo copy of Access Tunnel that starts in play. For additional information, visit analoggamesmn.com.

Permit to Carry course
Chandler’s Conceal and Carry is hosting a MN/WI/FL Permit to Carry course from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, May 2, at the Fairmont Trap Club. Students do not need to have taken Hunter’s Safety or have any previous firearms training or experience to take this course. All are welcome. This course will allow students to apply for (or renew) their MN Permit to Carry, allowing to carry in 35 states. With this class, students can also apply for (or renew) their FL Non-resident Permit to Carry – adding one additional state to carry in for a total of 36. Chandler’s will provide everything needed to complete this one-day course. This will include all required paperwork and applications, eye/ear protection, a target, the use of a handgun, and ammo at no additional cost.
