Blue Earth Area nets tennis win over Redwood Valley
REDWOOD FALLS — The Blue Earth Area Bucs girls tennis team kept its season record unblemished, beating the Redwood Valley Cardinals 5-2 on Thursday during Big South Conference action.
BEA’s Addison Armstrong beat Brooke Zollner 6-2, 6-2 at No. 1 singles, while the Bucs’ Olivia Dutton produced a 6-1, 6-1 victory over Lilly DeBlieck at the second singles spot.
No. 3 singles netter Grace Hanson was a 6-1, 6-2 winner over Lauren Dolezal to cap BEA’s points in that bracket.
Redwood Valley’s McKenna Flinn beat Brooklyn Rosenau 6-0, 6-0 at fourth singles.
The Bucs’ Lauren Survis and Mckinley Hanson defeated Julia Lang and Michelle Smith in three sets, 6-0, 4-6, 1-0 at No. 2 doubles, while Addison Prescher and Erin Prescher teamed to beat Emmerson McCorquodale and Taylor Klabunde, 6-2, 6-1.
The Cardinals’ Mila Jenniges and Anneliese Hammer posted 6-2 set wins over Carol Schrader and Abbey Lorenz at No. 1 doubles.
Blue Earth Area (4-0) travels to Pipestone on Tuesday.
