FAIRMONT — Four area prep softball teams open postseason play on the road Tuesday.

No. 10-seeded Fairmont travels to No. 7-seeded Jordan for a 5 p.m. Section 2AA first-round playoff contest.

The Fairmont–Jordan winner advances to face either No. 2-seeded Le Sueur-Henderson or No. 15-seeded Medford at 5 p.m. Thursday at the high seed’s diamond.

Also in 2AA, No. 13-seeded Blue Earth Area faces No. 4-seeded New Richland-Hartland-Ellendale-Geneva at 5 p.m. Tuesday in New Richland.

The BEA–NRHEG winner plays either No. 5-seeded Cannon Falls or No. 12-seeded Lake Crystal-Wellcome Memorial at 5 p.m. Thursday at the high seed.

In Section 3AA, South Sub-Section action, No. 6-seeded Martin County West faces No. 3-seeded St. James Area at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday in Luverne. The MCW–SJA winner plays either No. 2-seeded Luverne or No. 7 Tracy-Milroy-Balaton at 5 p.m. Tuesday.

In Section 2A action, the No. 11-seeded Martin Luther/GHEC/Truman Jaguars play sixth-seeded Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton at 5 p.m. Tuesday in Janesville.

The Jaguars–JWP winner faces No. 3-seeded Cleveland at 5 p.m. Thursday in Cleveland.
