HADLEY — Scott Chirpich delivered a key extra-base hit with the bases loaded to help engineer the Fairmont Martins’ 8-2 victory over the Hadley Buttermakers during Minnesota amateur baseball action Sunday in Hadley.

Jack Waletich generated a pair of doubles to complement a single for Fairmont, Levi Becker supplied an RBI double and Spencer Chirpich produced three hits to go with Scott Chirpich’s double and three RBIs.

Starting pitcher Matt Lytle recorded three strikeouts and allowed one earned run in 6 1/3 innings of work to earn the victory for the Martins.

Adam Schmidt notched one strikeout in closing out Fairmont’s victory.

The Martins (6-4) compete in the Arlington tournament Saturday and Sunday.
