TRIMONT — The Martin County West Maverick varsity girls basketball team’s game against Hill-Murray tonight will tip off at 6:30 p.m. in Trimont.

PeeWees fall

to NUSE team

FAIRMONT — New Ulm/Sleepy Eye defeated the DeWar-Aust-Roskop PeeWee ‘B’ hockey team of Fairmont, 9-3, Saturday at Martin County Arena in Fairmont.

Kaiden Musser assisted on Nikolas Flanagan’s goal before delivering Fairmont’s ensuing two goals. Jace Prindle doled out two assists, while Flanagan added one helper.

Goalie Cole Ziemer made 25 saves for Fairmont, which tallied 15 shots on goal.

Fairmont plays host to Redwood Falls at 6:30 p.m. Saturday at Martin County Arena in Fairmont.

Bantam ‘B’ set

for Hockey Day

FAIRMONT — The Carlson Dental Bantam ‘B’ hockey team of Fairmont will start the second half of its schedule with a home game at 7 p.m. Friday at Martin County Arena in Fairmont.

The Carlson Dental Bantam B-squad then joins the rest of the Fairmont Hockey Association teams and the Fairmont Area Cardinals varsity lineups for Fairmont Hockey Day on Saturday at Martin County Arena.

Saturday’s ice action will run from 8 a.m.-9 p.m., with the Bantam B-team playing a 7:45 p.m. game.

Fairmont Hockey Day also will feature a knee hockey tournament and a silent auction.

The Fairmont Bantam B-squad plays in the Austin tournament Feb. 3-5 before closing out the season at the district tourney Feb. 17-19 in Redwood Falls.
