Section 3AAA grid kickoffs change

FAIRMONT – The kickoff times for both Section 3AAA football semifinals on Saturday have been changed to 3 p.m.

The No. 2-seeded Fairmont Cardinals will play host to the winner between No. 3-seeded Luverne and No. 6-seeded St. Peter at Mahoney Field.

No. 1-seeded Jackson County Central will play host to the winner between No. 4-seeded Worthington and No. 5-seeded Sibley East in Jackson.

Fairmont tabbed No. 8 in final poll

FAIRMONT – Fairmont captured the No. 8 spot in the final Minnesota Associated Press’ Class AAA football poll this week.

Section 3 rival Jackson County Central remained in the No. 2 spot behind St. Croix Lutheran in the AAA state rankings.
