Failure to wear seat belt while in a motor vehicle — Anthony A. Rachuy, 49, of Delavan; Jason L. Viland, 44, of Elmore; Dylan M. Wildeman, 28, of Sargeant; Paul H. Flogstad, 71, of Lakota, Iowa; Joshua R. Holm, 32, of Winnebago; each fined $110.

Larean M. Skogen-Walker, 40, of Minneota was convicted of no proof of motor vehicle insurance; fined $200. Also convicted of child passenger restraint system improperly worn or used; fined $135.

Elias Reyes, 29, of Blue Earth received a stay of adjudication on a charge of domestic assault-commits act to cause fear of immediate bodily harm or death; fined $585, sentenced to jail four days, credit for time served four days, one year supervised probation, follow all recommendations of the chemical dependency assessment on 1-30-2020, no mood-altering chemicals, random testing, enter family/couples counseling and remain in counseling until successfully discharged and if victim doesn’t attend, defendant shall complete counseling, obtain permission from agent before leaving the state, follow all state and federal criminal laws, contact probation agent within 72 hours if been charged with a new crime; are in contact with law enforcement; if change address, employment, or telephone number, cooperate with search of person, residence, vehicle, workplace, property, etc. by probation officer, give a DNA sample when directed, sign releases of information as directed, don’t use or possess firearms, ammunition or explosives if prohibited by law.

Robert L. Thompson, 33, of Blue Earth was convicted of disorderly conduct-offensive/abusive/boisterous/noisy/obscene; fined $185, sentenced to jail 90 days, stayed 90 days for two years, two years unsupervised probation, Domestic No Contact (DANCO) for two years.

James O. Alexander, 41, of Kiester was convicted of operate motor vehicle while under the influence of a controlled substance; fined $610, sentenced to jail 90 days, stayed 87 days for one year, credit for time served three days, one year supervised probation, complete chemical assessment and follow all recommendations, attend MADD impact panel, no alcohol/controlled substance use with exception of prescribed medications, random testing, follow all state and federal criminal laws, contact probation agent within 72 hours if charged with a new crime; are in contact with law enforcement; if change address, employment, or telephone number, cooperate with search of person, residence, vehicle, workplace, property, etc. by probation officer, sign releases of information as directed, don’t use or possess firearms, ammunition or explosives if prohibited by law. Also convicted of driving after revocation; fined $200. Additional charges of third-degree driving while impaired-refuse to submit to chemical test, and possession of drug paraphernalia, were both dismissed.

Christopher L. Herman, 23, of Wells received a stay of adjudication on a charge of disorderly conduct-brawling or fighting; sentenced to jail 90 days, stayed 90 days for one year, one year unsupervised probation, no contact with victim(s), don’t enter victim’s residence, no same or similar. Additional charge of fifth-degree assault was dismissed.
