Sandersfeld, 20, of Fairmont received a statutory stay of adjudication on a charge of fifth-degree controlled substance possession-not small amount of marijuana; sentenced to jail three days, credit for time served three days, one year supervised probation, follow all conditions set forth in the probation agreement, mental health evaluation, follow recommendations of evaluation, take medications in the prescribed dosage and frequency, obtain employment, maintain employment, no alcohol/controlled substance use, random testing, cognitive skill training if requested by agent, obtain permission from agent before leaving the state, follow all state and federal criminal laws, contact probation agent within 72 hours if charged with a new crime; are in contact with law enforcement; if changes address, employment, or telephone number, cooperate with search of person, residence, vehicle, workplace, property, etc. by probation officer, sign releases of information as directed, don’t use/possess firearms, ammunition, or explosives. Also convicted of fourth-degree driving while impaired-body contains any amount of schedule I controlled substance; fined $610, sentenced to jail 90 days, stayed 87 days for one year, credit for time served three days, one year supervised probation, follow all conditions set forth in the probation agreement, mental health evaluation, follow recommendations of evaluation, take medications in the prescribed dosage and frequency, obtain employment, maintain employment, no alcohol/controlled substance use, random testing, attend MADD impact panel, cognitive skill training if requested by agent, obtain permission from agent before leaving the state, follow all state and federal criminal laws, contact probation agent within 72 hours if charged with a new crime; are in contact with law enforcement; if changes address, employment, or telephone number, cooperate with search of person, residence, vehicle, workplace, property, etc. by probation officer, sign releases of information as directed, don’t use/possess firearms, ammunition, or explosives. Additional felony charge of third-degree controlled substance possession in school/park/public housing zone was dismissed.

Cook, 26, of Granada received a stay of imposition pursuant to Minnesota statutes on a felony charge of possession of stolen property; sentenced to jail 57 days, credit for time served 57 days, five years supervised probation, sentence to service 10 days for indeterminate, restitution reserved, obtain employment, maintain employment, complete and follow recommendations of a mental health diagnostic assessment, complete chemical assessment, follow recommendations of evaluation, follow all conditions set forth in the probation agreement, obtain permission from agent before leaving the state, no alcohol/controlled substance use, random testing, cognitive skill training if requested by agent, follow all state and federal criminal laws, contact probation agent within 72 hours if charged with a new crime; are in contact with law enforcement; if change address, employment, or telephone number, cooperate with search of person, residence, vehicle, workplace, property, etc. by probation officer, give a DNA sample when directed, sign releases of information as directed, don’t use/possess firearms, ammunition, or explosives, don’t register to vote until discharged from probation and civil rights are fully restored. Additional charge of identity theft-transfers/possesses/uses identity of other person was dismissed.

Michael T. Somnis, 34, of Welcome was convicted of domestic abuse-violates Order for Protection within 10 years of previous conviction; fined $785, sentenced to jail 365 days, stayed 345 days for two years, credit for time served 20 days, two years supervised probation, no contact with victim(s), don’t enter victim’s residence, no stalking or threatening behaviors of any kind, complete and follow recommendations of psychological evaluation, complete chemical assessment, follow recommendations of evaluation, remain law-abiding, Domestic No Contact (DANCO), follow all conditions set forth in the probation agreement, obtain permission from agent before leaving the state, no alcohol/controlled substance use, random testing, follow all state and federal criminal laws, contact probation agent within 72 hours if charged with a new crime; are in contact with law enforcement; if change address, employment, or telephone number, cooperate with search of person, residence, vehicle, workplace, property, etc. by probation officer, sign releases of information as directed, don’t use/possess firearms, ammunition, or explosives.
