Wonderful visit to Fairmont To the editor: On Wednesday, Sept. 3, 2025, I was part of a bus tour of Fairmont sponsored by the Minnetonka Senior Center. Most of us on the trip had never been to Fairmont and it is safe to say none of us had any real idea what to expect from the day. We had an all-too-short time at the Martin County Historical Society; we all agreed it is a fascinating building. America needs to wake up to gun problem To the editor: I read about yet another shooting here in the land of Minnesota “nice” – at a Catholic Church in Minneapolis. How long will it take for the USA to wake up from their stupor of stupidity and realize there is no way to have free access to guns and ammunition without the on-going escalation of senseless killing and violence.
