Political harassment, violence needs to stop To the editor: I am hurt to my soul to hear of the killing of Representative Melissa Hortman and her husband in an extreme act of political violence. Solar project affects area families To the editor: There is a proposal before the Public Utilities Commission (PUC) that will affect Martin County, specifically Rutland Township. This is a proposal for a 1,000+ acre solar farm that will be located approximately 125 feet from my front door on Charlotte Oak Drive, on the east side of Charlotte Lake. Deported immigrants evil To the editor: In Randy Krzmarzick’s recent column, he says we should have empathy for the deported illegal criminals in El Salvador. He condemns Kristi Noem for doing her job, even making a snide remark about the watch she was wearing, saying he was “told” that it was a $50,000 Rolex. So I’m wondering who “told” him, and what has that got to do with the price of tea in China? He compares these prisoners with Nazi concentration camp prisoners. Irresponsible American government leaders To the editor: Kilmar Abrego Garcia is a legal resident of the United States. He is just like you or me. Recently, the United States authorities abducted him by mistake and sent him to a concentration camp in El Salvador. The government thought he was a terrorist. The U.S. government refuses to return the man to the United States.
