It’s Farmers Market time, from 8-11 a.m. Saturday, June 15, at Graf Park in Truman. Vendors are welcome to come and sell. There is no charge to be a vendor.

Dad’s Belgian Waffles will be served 8-10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 15, at the Lewisville American Legion. Enjoy waffles, toppings, sausage and beverage. All you can eat for $10 per person, while kids, 5 and under, is free. Proceeds benefit the Lewisville Ambulance.

Happy Father’s Day to those important people who have been there for you. Be sure to thank that father for all his advice, knowledge and what he means to you.

An American Red Cross blood drive will be held noon to 6 p.m. Monday, June 17, at the Truman Community Building in Truman. To make an appointment, download the American Red Cross Blood Donor App, www.redcrossblood.org, text BLOODAPP to 90999 or call Yvonne at (507) 776-8555. Fill out our Rapid Pass on the day of your appointment and shorten the registration time. Do good things. Come to give blood for a $15 e-gift card.

Truman City Council will meet 5:30 p.m. Monday, June 17. If you have any ideas, concerns or questions, please contact Truman City Hall to be put on the agenda.

Wednesday is recycling day. Containers should be curbside by 7 a.m.

Lewisville Commercial Club will meet 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 19.

Because Truman will be celebrating its 125th anniversary this summer, we are encouraging everyone to help make Truman look as good as possible. The Spruce Up group is busy painting and working to do other things to add color to our community. Donations are welcome to pay for projects and flowers. All contributions can be given to the spruce up account at Profinium. We are grateful for any size donation.

Second Harvest Heartland, nutrition assistance program for seniors, will be held 9:30-10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 19. Come to Trinity Lutheran Church in Truman to pick up your box. Eligibility is based on age, 60 years and up, household size and income. Pre-register at 1-800-365-0270.

Come to the Truman Library every Wednesday at 3 p.m. for storytime. There is no cost to attend and no registration is needed.

Trinity Lutheran Church in Truman is holding a salad luncheon from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on June 26. Enjoy salads, crackers, fresh fruit, veggie pizza, deviled eggs, egg salad and ham salad sandwiches, bars and beverage.

Thomas Boesch, former resident and graduate of Truman, passed away May 25. Sympathy cards can be sent to his wife, Linda Boesch, at 308 Waite Ave. S., St. Cloud, MN 56301.
