VBS begins, Burger Night tonight

SHERBURN — Today is a busy day in Sherburn. Vacation Bible School for area children, ages 4-12,

continues until Aug. 11 at the Regional Worship Center from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Mayo Clinic Health System’s Mobile Health Clinic will be in Sherburn

from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. today. To make an appointment, call (507)

Sherburn Legion will be bustling with Burger Night from 5-8 p.m. tonight. This is offered the

first Wednesday of each month. Also,

remember their Steak Fry Night on Aug. 14, and their Pork Chop

and Sweet Corn Feed at the end of August.

The movie at the Sherburn Theatre this weekend is ‘Black Widow.’

Hours are 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 4 p.m. on Sunday.

Heritage Acres in Fairmont will have their Threshing Day from 10

a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, with many events planned for the whole

family. This year is dedicated to the memory of Sherburn resident,

Bob Brolsma, who was a tireless member of Heritage Acres.

Athletes from the school district will have a meeting at 7 p.m. Monday in the gymnasium at the

Trimont School concerning MN

High School League school year forms and concussion discussions.

Old Alley Quilt Shop continues their Sew Days at 1 p.m. on Monday

with a session to learn to make a quick zip bag. Cost is $5 and

materials.

Regional Worship Center continues their community breakfast from 8 to 10 a.m. Mondays. Watch

for a bluegrass band, “Farm Hands” in concert on Aug. 29.

CREST Lunch & Learn event will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday at the

Senior Citizens Center located on First Street in Sherburn. The program will be about the

Church Kitchen Women. Each participant should bring a church cookbook if they have one. (If you

are like me, I have many). A meal of stroganoff and dessert will be served. This is open to

anyone in Martin County, free of charge.

St. Luke’s Catholic Church continues summer services at 5 p.m. on Wednesdays. Area residents

are always invited to join them.

FREA annual meeting will be held 4:30-6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the

fairgrounds in Fairmont. Members will drive through to elect two

directors. Then, at 6:30 p.m., there will be a radio meeting to those

in their vehicles at the west side of the grandstand.

Ammann, is a former resident of Sherburn. Stephanie is originally

from Fairmont. Richie is also living in Kansas near Darron.
