Church plans free “Pop-Up” meal
The community is invited to receive a free “Pop-Up” drive-thru meal of Cook’s Choice casserole, vegetable, cranberry salad and a brownie beginning 11 a.m. Sunday at Fairmont United Methodist Church located at 119 E. 2nd St. (corner of Park St. and 2nd St.) in Fairmont. Please follow the signs; from Park Street turn onto 2nd Street and drive up the church’s ramp (under the canopy) to the front doors. Remain in your vehicle; someone will bring the meals out to your vehicle. Meals will be distributed until gone. All COVID safety precautions will be followed to protect everyone. Valley Quilters set Monday meeting
Blue Earth Valley Quilters will hold its April meeting 7 p.m. Monday in the Blue Earth Area High School choir room. Enter through door “V” on the south side of the building. Masks are required and social distancing will be observed. Projects that members have been working on will be reviewed and shown. There will be a report on the My Small World quilt-along and announcements of other quilting events in the area, as well as discussions about the Blue Earth Quilt EXPO planned for Aug. 13-15. Also, dues of $5 for the year will be collected. Anyone interested in this quilting group may attend. For more information, contact Jan Shaffer at (507) 526-3979.
