Spruce Up group looking for donations

TRUMAN — Truman Days organizers seek someone to head up the Little Mr. and Ms. Truman pageant for the celebration in 2024, which is Truman’s 125th birthday. Information from past pageants is available to help with planning. Those interested should contact Theresa at (507) 236-3455. Please consider even if you are a high school senior, college student or a grandparent. This is for you to see the smiles you will create.

Did you realize it is important for our firefighters, ambulance crew and police to identify your home in an emergency? Please check your house number. If you don’t have one, please get one.

Wednesday is recycling day. Containers should be curbside by 7 a.m.

Truman spruce up club is asking for donations to refresh the soil and make the 12 large planters extra special for the city’s quasquicentennial. Checks can be mailed to: Truman Spruce Up Club, PO Box 56, Truman, MN 56088. They can also be dropped off at Profinium Bank in Truman. Write in the check memo that it’s for the downtown planters.

All friends and relatives are invited to a bridal shower for Rachael Sauck, bride-to-be of Chandler Greier, from 9-11 a.m. on May 4 at the Truman Community Building. The couple is registered at Amazon, Crate & Barrel and Sterling Drug.

2024 Jaguars Strike Out Cancer event is on May 14. Our theme this year is Home Runs for Hope.

We are accepting monetary donations and silent auction donations. They can be dropped off at Elizabeth Chevrolet or Truman Schools during business hours or contact a committee member to arrange pickup. Hope to see you on May 14 in Truman.
