FAIRMONT — The race for the Ward 2 seat on the Fairmont City Council became a four-way contest Thursday with Ronald Lindberg of 1428 Oak Beach Drive filing his candidacy.

Other candidates for the Ward 2 slot include Britney Kawecki, Joe Loughmiller and incumbent Ruth Cyphers.

Other races on the Nov. 3 ballot include incumbent Wayne Hasek and Terry Anderson in Ward 4; and incumbent Tom Hawkins, Jay Maynard and Michele Miller for the at-large position that represents the entire city.

Filings are open until Tuesday.

Filing for City Council must be completed at the city clerk’s office on the second floor of City Hall.
