Residents ask about plows

SHERBURN — Some Sherburn residents this week expressed concerns to the City Council about a recent lack of plowing.

Residents wondered why the streets were not plowed when they were slushy, given warm weather last week.

Council members say they believed such plowing would have piled up slush at the end of driveways that would have been difficult to move. City officials hope the warm weather will take care of the slush, for the most part.

In other action, the council heard from the city administrator, who said the City Attorney will send letters to Kum & Go about the public domain aspect for the proposed truck wash easement. The administrator relayed that Kum & Go is in negotiations and reports will come later. Council members were glad to hear this, and hope contractors can be contacted when the matter is settled.

In other business, the council changed the date for the next council meeting from Feb. 17, which is a holiday, to 5 p.m. Feb. 19.

Starting at $2.99/week.
