WELCOME — Welcome fall cleanup day will be held 8-10 a.m. Saturday, or until whenever the truck is full.

Because of construction on the streets, the site has been changed to Hansen Keck Park. Please line up on Dugan Street on the west side of the road to Fifth Street.

Unacceptable items are: toxic materials, waste oil, any liquids, paints, solvents, yard waste, appliances, tires, and concrete products.

The cleanup is for Welcome residents only. Be prepared to show proof of residency (such as a driver’s license).

Welcome Legion and Sons of the Legion will meet 7:30 p.m. Monday at the Legion.

Tuesday morning coffee hours in October are scheduled 8:30-10 a.m. at St. Luke’s Catholic Church in Sherburn.

Welcome City Council will meet 6 p.m. Tuesday at City Hall.

Community questions are scheduled for the beginning of each meeting, with no reservations needed.

Condolences to the family of Aldor Rose, long-time Welcome resident. He will be missed.

o A trunk-and-treat Halloween party from 5:15-6:45 p.m. Oct. 31 at the Welcome Legion and Dugan Street.

o A turkey dinner will be held Nov. 3 at St. Paul’s United Church of Christ in Welcome.
