Street dance set for tonight in Ceylon

CEYLON — This weekend, Legends 2 will celebrate its fourth anniversary with customer appreciation events planned.

A softball tournament will be held beginning 9 a.m. today and also Sunday.

Lance Allen will perform from 4-7 p.m. today, and there will be a street dance featuring the band IV Play beginning at 9 p.m. tonight. In case of inclement weather, the band will play indoors.

Fred will have special chicken and pork loin on the menu. Congratulations on being in business in Ceylon for four years.

Tuesday coffee hours for the month of September will continue from 8:30-10 a.m. at St. Paul’s United Church of Christ in Welcome. Also, a coffee lovers group meets 8:30-10 a.m. each Thursday at Legends 2 in Ceylon. Everyone is invited to these two opportunities for great brew and good fellowship.

A Bible class will be held 9:30 a.m. each Tuesday at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Ceylon. Area residents are welcome to join them.

Thank you to the Martin County Area Foundation for the $17,000 given to the Ceylon Fire Department to replace outdated turnout gear.

There will be a Red Cross blood drive in Ceylon from 1-6 p.m. Thursday in the banquet/legion room at Legends 2. Give the gift of life, give blood.
