CEYLON — Sunday is the date to change to Daylight Savings Time, so change your clocks tonight by setting them one hour AHEAD. I’m claiming this as one sign of spring.

Area townships elections will be 5-8 p.m. Tuesday for one supervisor for a three-year term and one clerk for a two-year term.

The business meetings will be held at 4 p.m. The elections will be held 5-8 p.m.

Lake Belt Township elections will be held at the grader shed/town hall and board of canvass will be held following the election.

Tenhassen Township elections will be at the town hall with a board of canvass after the elections.

Ceylon Legion and Sons of the Legion will meet 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Legends2/Legion building in Ceylon. All members are urged to attend.

Ceylon City Council usually meets on the second Tuesday of each month but since there will be an audit going on that day, the council meeting has been moved to 6 p.m. Thursday at City Hall. All members are urged to attend.

Midweek Lenten services continue Wednesday at area churches.

The Circle of Faith congregations will meet for a 5:15 p.m. supper and a service 6:30 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Welcome.

St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Wilbert will host its dual congregation, Our Savior’s Lutheran from Ceylon, for a service at 6:30 p.m., followed by a light lunch after the service.

All area residents are invited to join these congregations for the respective services.

Upcoming events include: The White Sidewalls dance March 17 at Legends 2. Also, a pancake brunch sponsored by the Ceylon Fire Relief Association will be held 9 a.m. to noon March 18 at the Legends 2/Legion building in Ceylon.
