Pool closing Aug. 27

TRUMAN — Truman City Council will meet 5:30 p.m. Monday at City Hall.

All are welcome as the meetings are open to the public.

Truman School Board will meet 6 p.m. Monday in the learning center at Truman High School.

If you would like to become an EMT, a class is scheduled Aug. 28 in Truman. If you have a desire to help people, please consider taking this class regardless of the community in which you live.

Top of the Hill Club director Ellen is planning some amazing adventures. It’s time to get registered if you would like to go to the Rose Parade from Dec. 28 to Jan. 2 or a Mexican Riviera cruise from Jan. 12-20, or a Kenya Wing safari from Feb. 22 to March 4. Branson, Mo., is also planned for five days and four nights from Nov. 9-13. You will see seven great shows, plus much more.

Truman Swimming Pool needs to close Aug. 27 instead of Aug. 31 due to the lifeguards heading back to college and going to sports practices. It was a great season.
