Gabriel E. Schomberg, 28, of Blue Earth was convicted of third-degree driving while impaired; fined $865, sentenced to jail 365 days, stayed 335 days for two years, credit for time served three days, serve as work release if eligible, serve 27 days on EHM with alcohol monitoring at defendant’s expense, two years supervised probation, contact probation officer as directed, complete chemical assessment and follow all recommendations, no mood-altering chemicals, random testing, attend MADD impact panel, follow all state and federal criminal laws, contact probation agent within 72 hours if charged with a new crime; are in contact with law enforcement; if changes address, employment, or telephone number, cooperate with search of person, residence, vehicle, workplace, property, etc. by probation officer, sign releases of information as directed. Additional charges of fourth-degree driving while impaired was dismissed.

Jennifer Cruz Palmer, 37, of Kiester was convicted on a felony charge of third-degree burglary; fined $2,492.51, restitution $1,917.51, sentenced to jail 22 days, credit for time served 22 days, three years supervised probation, sentence to service 40 hours for indeterminate, contact probation officer as directed, complete chemical assessment within 30 days and follow all recommendations, obtain permission from agent before leaving the state, no alcohol/controlled substance use with the exception of prescribed medications, no alcohol/controlled substance possession with the exception of prescribed medications, random testing, prohibited from entering Kiester Liquor Store, complete cognitive skill training as directed by agent, follow all state and federal criminal laws, contact probation agent within 72 hours if charged with a new crime; are in contact with law enforcement; if changes address, employment, or telephone number, cooperate with search of person, residence, vehicle, workplace, property, etc. by probation officer, give a DNA sample when when directed, sign releases of information as directed, don’t use/possess firearms, ammunition, or explosives, do not register to vote or vote until discharged from, probation and civil rights are fully restored. Two additional felony charges of public officer-permit false claims against government, and theft-legal interest-permanent deprive another, and misdemeanor charges of misconduct of a public officer or employee-exceed authority, issue dishonored check-offense, stolen checks-penalties-one direct victim and value $250 or less, and identity theft-penalties-one direct victim and value $250 or less, were all dismissed.

Christian J. Hovde, 22, of Alden was convicted of front and rear license plates required; fined $115. Also convicted of window tint violation-less than 50 percent light transmittance; fined $50.

Cody L. Hanson, 34, of Albert Lea was convicted of careless driving-operate any vehicle carelessly on street or highway; fined $285, must pay $75 public defender co-pay, sentenced to jail two days, credit for time served two days, Additional charge of possess over 1.4 grams of marijuana in a motor vehicle was dismissed.
