James A. Harris, 23, of Fairmont was convicted of third-degree driving while impaired-alcohol concentration 0.08 within two hours; fined $910, sentenced to jail 365 days, stay 335 days for two years, credit for time served one day, serve remaining 27 days on EHM with alco-sensor, two years supervised probation, contact probation officer as directed, obtain permission from agent before leaving the state, complete most recent chemical assessment to probation agent, follow recommendations of evaluation, attend MADD impact panel, provide list of prescribed medications to probation officer, do not drive without a valid license, no alcohol/controlled substance use with the exception of prescribed medications, no no alcohol/controlled substance possession with the exception of prescribed medications, random testing, no same or similar, follow all state and federal criminal laws, contact probation agent within 72 hours if charged with a new crime; are in contact with law enforcement; if changes address, employment, or telephone number, cooperate with search of person, residence, vehicle, workplace, property, etc. by probation officer, sign releases of information as directed, don’t use/possess firearms, ammunition, or explosives if prohibited by law. Additional charges of third-degree operate motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, driving after revocation, possess over 1.4 grams of marijuana in motor vehicle, possess/sale small amount of marijuana-no remuneration, and possession of drug paraphernalia-use or possession prohibited, were all dismissed.

Steven R. Sukalski, 41, of Ceylon was convicted on a felony charge of first-degree assault of person in building on property; fined $1,685, commit to Commissioner of Corrections 48 months, stayed for five years, sentenced to jail 120 days, credit for time served 64 days, granted furlough for two days, five years supervised probation, contact probation officer as directed, successfully complete inpatient chemical dependency programming as recommended in the assessment and abide by all recommendations for care and aftercare, obtain permission from agent before leaving the state, no alcohol/controlled substance use with the exception of prescribed medications, no alcohol/controlled substance possession with the exception of prescribed medications, random testing, don’t enter bars or liquor stores or similar establishments including casinos, complete domestic abuse batterer’s intervention program, complete anger management as directed by agent, no direct or indirect contact with victim(s) including on social media, no threats of violence or acts of intimidation, take medications in the prescribed dosage and frequency, participate in individual counseling, follow all state and federal criminal laws, contact probation agent within 72 hours if charged with a new crime; are in contact with law enforcement; if changes address, employment, or telephone number, cooperate with search of person, residence, vehicle, workplace, property, etc. by probation officer, sign releases of information as directed, give a DNA sample when directed, don’t use/possess firearms, ammunition, or explosives, don’t register to vote until discharged from probation and civil rights are fully restored. One additional felony charge of terroristic threats-reckless disregard risk, and misdemeanor charges of domestic assault-subsequent violation, and interrupt/interfere/impede/disrupt 911 emergency call, were all dismissed.

Robert J. Palmentera Jr., 33, of Trimont was convicted of physically disabled-park or obstruct parking space; fined $285. Also convicted of no drivers license in possession or fail to display upon request; fined $20.

Brock J. Peterson, 19, of New Ulm had a charge of speeding continued for dismissal; fined $125, one year unsupervised monitoring without conviction, no speeding violations, no same or similar.
