Early Risers set Wednesday meeting

Early Risers Kiwanis Club of Fairmont will meet 6:45 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 9, at the Ranch Restaurant, Fairmont. Featured this week will be an update from Kinship of Martin County. The public is invited.

Red Rock hosts gallery walk Wednesday

Red Rock Center for the Arts will host a Gallery Walk from 3:30-4:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 9, at 222 E. Blue Earth Ave. in Fairmont. There will be a photo scavenger hunt and make and take projects. Children under 6 must be accompanied by a caregiver. This is free, everyone is welcome.

Legion Auxiliary to host Veterans Day dinner

American Legion Auxiliary Unit 36 of Fairmont will host a Veterans Day dinner Friday, Nov. 11, at the American Legion, 300 Downtown Plaza in Fairmont. Social hour will be held 5-6 p.m. with the dinner beginning around 6 p.m. All veterans and their spouses are encouraged to attend. For reservations, call (507) 749-3317 ASAP. Holiday market Saturday in East Chain

The sixth annual Holiday Craft & Vendor Market will be held 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 12, at the East Chain Activity Center (formerly the East Chain School), 395 280th Ave., southeast of East Chain. The event will feature 40+vendors and artisans from Minnesota and Iowa who will offer items for purchase. This one-stop holiday shopping event is the biggest market of the year and will have new boutiques and some yummy treats available. Breakfast and lunch selections by Lacey’s Catering of Wells will be available on-site. There is a gym and coloring stations for your children while you shop. No admission charge. All are invited to attend.

Toys For Tots program now underway

Toys for Tots, the U.S. Marine Corps’ premiere community action program, announces its 75th anniversary of supporting less fortunate children across the nation. The program has evolved and grown exponentially, over 830 campaigns are locally run across the nation. Your support is needed to deliver joy and hope to even more children in Fairmont. Applications for families can be picked up and dropped off at Walgreens in Fairmont. Toys can also be dropped off at Walgreens, Fareway, Bomgaars, Midwest Bank, and Tractor Supply Company. Just look for our Toys for Tots collection boxes. All donations collected in Fairmont stay in Fairmont. Applications can be submitted online or downloaded at Adrian-Mn.toysfortots.org.
