Memorial Day notice

The Sentinel, located at 64 Downtown Plaza in Fairmont, will be closed on Monday, May 25, in observance of Memorial Day. Subscription payments, submissions and other mail can be placed in the outdoor mail chute. Regular hours will resume from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 26.

CREST asks for gas cards

Caregiver Response Effort and Service Team (CREST) of Martin County requests help in securing $25 gas cards for volunteers who transport CREST care receivers to medical appointments in Mankato, Rochester, Sioux Falls or the Twin Cities. To help, please send a monetary donation with “gas cards” in the memo line to CREST, 820 Winnebago Avenue, Suite 2, Fairmont, MN 56031.

UCC for free community meal

First Congregational United Church of Christ in Fairmont will host a free community meal at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 27. The worship board will serve taco salad, carrots, celery, bars, milk, water and coffee. All are welcome to attend.

Goldfinch Community Scoops Social

Community Scoops Social for local seniors will be from 2 to 3 p.m. on Wednesday, May 27, at Vista Prairie at Goldfinch Estates in Fairmont. Heritage Acres Board to meet

The Heritage Acres Board of Directors will meet at 6 p.m. on Thursday, May 28, at the Prairieville Building at Heritage Acres in Fairmont. The Great Pages Circus

The Great Pages Circus will be at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, May 27, and at 4:30 and 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 28, at the Martin County Fairgrounds Arena in Fairmont. Performances include aerial acts, clowns, juggling, ponies, horses, and camels, Globe of Death and more. Tickets can be purchased at pagescircus.com, cost $20 for adults, $10 for child students, two children ages 12 and under are free with each paying adult, and $10 for each additional child.

BEA Bond Referendum info meeting
