Relay for Life event planned Sept. 26

Relay for Life of Martin County will hold a drive-through event 5:30-8:30 p.m. Sept. 26 at the Martin County Fairgrounds, west of Fairmont. Because of COVID-19, this year’s traditional Relay for Life event was cancelled, so this event is being held to support survivors and caregivers by celebrating, remembering and fighting back against cancer.If a business or individual would like to make a donation or purchase a luminaria, they may contact Marsha Williams at (507) 236-2034 or email martincorfl1@gmail.com.

Heritage Acres slates meeting

There will be a Heritage Acres membership meeting at 6 p.m. Thursday at the Prairieville building. Following a light supper, final details for the upcoming Harvest Festival on Oct. 11 will be discussed. The public is welcome to attend.
