Service Club to meet Tuesday

The Fairmont Service Club will hold its next weekly meeting noon Tuesday, April 23, at the Best Western in Fairmont. Featured speaker will be Anna Mundahl, owner of Janzen’s Greenhouse in Fairmont. Guests are always welcome. With questions, call Lorin Pollock at (507) 230-4800.

Church plans free meal on Wednesday

First Congregational United Church of Christ in Fairmont will offer a free community meal beginning 5:30 p.m. until the food is gone on Wednesday, April 24, at their church located at 319 Downtown Plaza in Fairmont. The church Hospitality Board will serve the meal consisting of spaghetti with meat sauce, lettuce salad, breadsticks, cupcakes and beverages. Everyone is welcome.

Heritage Acres to hold meeting

This year’s first member meeting of Heritage Agricultural Interpretive Center will be held 6 p.m. Thursday, April 25, in the Prairieville building. After a light supper, there will be reports given by the secretary and treasurer. President, Jerry Simon, will present this year’s schedule of events, recent donation and planned improvements and maintenance. There will also be a discussion of next year’s 50th anniversary events. All members and the public are invited to attend.
