Bridal shower Aug. 24 in Fairmont
An open house come-and-go bridal shower for Paige Bremer, bride-to-be of Matt Dinse, will be 9-11 a.m. Aug. 24 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Fairmont. Family and friends are invited.
Lake cleanup set for Saturday
Fairmont Lakes Foundation will host a cleanup of Sisseton Lake from 8-11 a.m. Saturday. Those interested in helping may gather at Ward Park. Volunteers can walk along the shore, use waders or take out their kayaks, canoes or boats. Other volunteers will be there to hand out bags for trash. People can clean around any lake, but the drop-off site will be Ward Park. The city is donating a dump truck.
