Gazebo concerts continue in Blue Earth

A free lunchtime concert titled “Tunes at Noon in June (at the Gazebo)” will be 12:05 p.m. today at Gazebo Park at the corner of Sixth and Main Street in downtown Blue Earth. This will be the final concert this summer. The concerts will feature local musicians. The public is invited.

Early Risers to hold Wednesday meeting

Early Risers Kiwanis Club of Fairmont will meet 6:45 a.m. Wednesday at the Ranch Restaurant, Fairmont. Featured this week will be Janessa Nelson, a member of the local Girl Scouts troop. The public is invited.

Aktion Club Theatre sets Thursday meeting

Aktion Club Theatre, part of Kiwanis International, will meet 4:30-6 p.m. Thursday in the basement of Grace Lutheran Church in Fairmont. The public is invited to attend any of the group’s theatrical practices. Those needing a ride or who have questions about the group may call Pat Kietzer at (507) 848-5017 or the Arc office at (507) 235-8580.

Relay for Life to be held Saturday

The 27th annual Martin County Relay for Life is scheduled to begin 4 p.m. Saturday at the Martin County Fairgrounds, 1300 N. Bixby Rd., Fairmont. It will last into the night, wrapping up at midnight with a closing ceremony. During the Relay, team members take to the track to walk laps, demonstrating their commitment to the cause. Other events include an opening ceremony; a silent auction and live auction; a meal and games; survivor ceremony; caregiver walk; band performance; hourly theme laps; and the luminaria lighting ceremony. The public is invited.

Truman Gun Club to host event Sunday

Truman Gun Club will host an Annie Oakley Fun Shoot from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday at its facility west of Truman. There is an entry fee of $5 per round. Prizes will be awarded. No registration required. Everyone is welcome.
