MRCI celebration set for today

In celebration of 65 years of service, Managed Resource Connections, Inc. (MRCI) will wrap up “Spirit Week” with an event at noon today at its facility, 701 Cory Lane, Fairmont. Staff, clients and friends of MRCI are invited to help celebrate, and enjoy cake and beverages.

East Chain church plans coffee party

East Chain United Methodist Church will host its monthly community coffee party from 8:30-11 a.m. Saturday at the church. Rolls, donuts, coffee, tea, hot chocolate and juice will be served. Free will offering. Everyone is welcome.

Valley Quilters set Monday meeting

Blue Earth Valley Quilters will meet 7 p.m. Monday in the Blue Earth Area High School choir room. Enter through door V on the south side of the building. The program will be the spring trash-to-cash, in which members bring books, fabric and quilting notions they no longer use and offer them for other quilters to buy. Proceeds will help fund the speaker for the 2019 Expo. Anyone interested in this quilting group may attend. For more information, contact Mike Ellingsen at (507) 526-5808.

Amanda Keith of Fairmont recently received a master’s degree in nursing leadership and management during a commencement ceremony at Western Governors University, an online nonprofit university.
