Jaguar summer ball signup planned

Jaguar summer youth baseball and softball signup will be 5:30-7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Elizabeth Chevrolet in Truman or 5:30-7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the school gym commons at Granada-Huntley-East Chain School in Granada. There is no fee to participate.

Woodcarvers set Tuesday meeting

CER Woodcarving group will meet 7 p.m. Tuesday in the art room at Fairmont Elementary School, 714 Victoria St., Fairmont. Park on the south side of the building and use the CER office door. No charge. New and experienced carvers are welcome.

Martin Luther to hold informational event

A free informational presentation entitled “Be Aware and Be Smart” will be held 12:30 p.m. Thursday at Martin Luther High School in Northrop. Danielle Freitag, licensed alcohol and drug counselor and author, will speak on commercial sexual exploitation of children and substance abuse. The talk will be appropriate for students in grades 7-12. Everyone is welcome.
