Trimont Chamber to meet tonight

Trimont Chamber of Commerce will meet 5:30 p.m. tonight at Two Broke Girls Bar, 542 Main St. East, in Trimont. Meetings are usually held the first Wednesday of each month. Any person, club or organization who has any news to put on the sign may call Thomas Hage at (507) 848-4085 or email him at trimontchamber@hotmail.com. A week to 10 days notice is asked.

Annual fundraiser planned for Saturday

The 2nd annual Marvin Memorial, a charity disc golf tournament that supports Martin County Humane Society, will be held Saturday at Cedar Creek Park in Fairmont. Sign-up will begin at 9 a.m. Two rounds of disc golf will get underway at 10 a.m. on the Cedar Creek East course. There will be a $20 buy in. Divisions decided after first round. Prizes for all will be up for grabs. Fifty percent to payouts and 50 percent to the Humane Society. Optional lunch provided. All are welcome to participate. Free soup meal this weekend in Fairmont

The Shepherd’s In will serve a free soup meal from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday at the parsonage in front of the Martin County Historical Society, 304 E. Blue Earth Ave., Fairmont. There is no charge for the meal. All are invited for good food and fellowship. The Shepherd’s In is accepting donations so it can accomplish its mission. Donations can be mailed to The Shepherd’s In, 1446 30th St., Ceylon, MN 56121, or by giving them directly to Curt Moeckel. Questions can be directed to theshepherdsin@gmail.com
