East Chain church plans coffee party

East Chain United Methodist Church will host its monthly community coffee party from 8:30-11 a.m. Saturday at the church. Rolls, donuts, treats, coffee, tea, hot chocolate and juice will be served. Free will offering. Everyone is welcome.

Korean vets plan Saturday meeting

Korean Veterans Chapter 254 will meet 9 a.m. Saturday at the Ranch Restaurant, Fairmont. This will be their Christmas party, so spouses are invited as well. All Korean veterans are invited. For more information, contact Gary Schwieger at (507) 238-1675.

Martin Luther to offer concert in Fairmont

The music department of Martin Luther High School in Northrop will present “In the Bleak Midwinter – A Christmas Concert” at 7 p.m. Saturday at the Fairmont Opera House. The Martin Luther High School band and choir will perform select Christmas music. Admission will be a free will offering. Refreshments will be served. Everyone is invited.

Music service planned at Trinity Lutheran

The senior choir and handbell choir of Trinity Lutheran Church in Blue Earth will join forces to present a traditional service of “Lessons & Carols” at the 8:30 a.m. and 10:45 a.m. services Sunday. The services are open to the public.

Northrop church dedication set for Sunday

Everyone is invited to attend the Service of Dedication for the new sanctuary at 2 p.m. Sunday at St. James Lutheran Church in Northrop. Light refreshments will be served after the service. Preaching the sermon will be the Rev. Bob Schulze, executive assistant to the president of the Minnesota South District. All are invited to attend.
