Church plans free meal on Wednesday First Congregational United Church of Christ in Fairmont will offer a free community meal beginning 5:30 p.m. until the food is gone on Wednesday, Sept. 25, at their church located at 319 Downtown Plaza in Fairmont. The meal, served by the church worship board, will consist of hearty harvest soup, bread, bars, milk, coffee and water. Everyone is welcome. Annual Homecoming Feed coming to FHS Partners in Education will host its annual Homecoming Feed for Fairmont Junior Senior High School from 5-7 pm, Friday, Sept. 20, at the Fairmont Mahoney Field. Food served includes brats, hot dogs, vegan plant-based hot dogs, chips, sauerkraut, cookies, and water. Sports club to host trap-shooting event The East Chain Sportsman's Club will be holding a trap-shooting event beginning at 12 pm on Sunday, Sept. 22 at the club’s grounds located a half-mile north of East Chain on 254th Avenue.
