Kiwanis to resume meetings Wednesday
Early Risers Kiwanis of Fairmont will gather for their weekly breakfast at 6:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 8 at The Ranch restaurant in Fairmont. A meeting at 6:50 a.m. will follow. The speaker of the meeting will be Recovery in Motion Director of Operations Zach Blanchard and Director of Marketing Zach Taylor, who will present more information about the Recovery in Motion organization. The public is invited to attend.
Cuddle Buddies ‘huddle’ at the library
Join the Martin County Library in Fairmont for Cuddle Buddies at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 9 at the building. This program is for children ages birth to two, accompanied by adult caregivers. Children and caretakers can participate in stories and playtime. There is no cost to attend and pre-registration is not required. Additional dates are Feb. 6, March 6, and April 3. Social media marketing with Nickie Welsh
Social Club Simple adult enrichment instructor Nickie Welsh will teach social media marketing strategy in her class from noon to 1 p.m. Monday, Jan. 3 in a Zoom meeting. Participants can learn how to effectively reach a target audience, increase brand awareness, and drive engagement across social media platforms. Participants will leave the class with action items they can easily implement themselves to see results for their business or role within their company and organization. Participants can benefit from having a plan for the rest of their 2025 year, and know how to be effective with their time on social media for maximum results. Acupressure with Janice Novak
Janice Novak will instruct an acupressure class from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 14, in a Zoom meeting. This class is for women 35 or older. Acupressure can offer great relief, with no side effects, from symptoms such as hot flashes, mood swings, bloating, headaches, irritability, nausea, insomnia, anxiety, and weight gain. Participants can learn how to balance hormone levels naturally, including thyroid hormones. The class will discuss breathing techniques, nutritional musts, and more.
