Youth baseball registration

NORTHROP — Northrop Baseball and Knights of Columbus No. 1575 will host an all you can eat fish and shrimp fry during youth baseball registration.

All Kiwanis, Minor and Pony league registration will take place during the event.

Tickets are available through Mar. 4 with adult tickets for the fish and shrimp fry set at $16 and children 12 and under at $10.

Squirt B 0-2 over weekend

Fairmont Squirt B hockey, sponsored by Connie Krahmer, Red and White each played last weekend.

Red and White played together for Hockey Day against Worthington on Saturday.

Ian Obernolte had 13 saves for Fairmont in an 11-4 Worthington win. Preston Cepress scored a goal and dished out two assists, while Alex Chapman had an assist.

Noah Meixell had two goals and Kaden Olson and Hunter Thate notched an assist each.

Worthington then beat Fairmont White 10-3 Sunday. Josh Newville made eight saves in net for Fairmont. Cepress scored once and dished out an assist, while Meixell scored a goal.

Kobe Anderson had a goal and Olson had an assist.

REMAX PeeWee B wins 2

The REMAX PeeWee boys hockey team beat Marshall and Worthington last weekend.

REMAX beat Marshall 5-3 on Hockey Day on Saturday. Klay Beemer scored off an Eric Determan assist, then Tyler Kurt scored with a helper from Gavin Kester.

Kester scored two unassisted goals and Barret Scholl scored one.

Tanner Pankow made 15 saves to net the win for Fairmont.

REMAX then beat Worthington 8-3 Sunday.

Beemer totaled four goals, Kurt scored an unassisted goal and Determan scored off an assist from Kester. Kester scored off a double helper from Determan and Lucas Roiger, while Mack Anderson scored on a penalty shot. Roiger dished out another assist, helping Beemer. Scholl had 28 saves to net the win.

NU boys win in triple overtime

ARMSTRONG — The North Union Warrior boys outscored the Eagle Grove Eagles 8-5 in triple overtime to win 70-67 Tuesday in Armstrong.

Noah Morphew led the Warriors with 29 points on 9 of 15 shooting from beyond the 3-point arc, while Robert Ortman had solid all-around numbers of nine points, seven rebounds, seven assists and three steals.

Brendan Anderson totaled 13 points, while grabbing five rebounds, dishing out three assists and pocketing three steals.

North Union (2-16) plays host to Garner-Hayfield-Ventura in Armstrong on Friday.

Lofstrom lifts Warriors to win

ARMSTRONG — Chloe Lofstrom continued her double-double pace with a 19-point, 13-rebound performance Tuesday against Eagle Grove.

Lofstrom helped lead the Warriors to a 67-39 win over the Eagles in Armstrong. Sam Nielsen added 10 points and five rebounds, while May Laverty put up nine points, dished out three assists and pocketed three steals. Vanessa VonBank also scored nine points and Brooklyn Prochniak had six points, five rebounds and three steals.

North Union (12-7) plays host to Garner-Haylfield-Ventura in Armstrong on Friday for the penultimate game of the Warriors’ regular season before hosting Lake Mills on Monday for their final regular-season game.
