NEW ULM – The Fairmont track and field team walked away from Tuesday’s Big South Conference Championship competition with their heads held high. Both boys’ and girls’ squads finished the afternoon in second place out of the eight schools. On top of this, three Cardinal individuals etched their names in program history with their performance. Here is everything that happened at New Ulm High School.

Toothaker’s 12.99 was good for fourth in the meet and fourth all-time. Leiding finished in fifth with her mark of 13.09, placing eighth in program history. Harvey got third in his respective race with a time of 11.28, also good for eighth all-time.
