FAIRMONT — Dorene Madsen died Sunday, Aug. 25, 2024, at Valley Vue Care Center in Armstrong, Iowa, at 97 years of age, just one day prior to her 98th birthday. A funeral service for her will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 31, at East Chain Evangelical Free Church with interment at the church cemetery.
