Legislators reflect on hard-fought legislative session

FAIRMONT – With the regular legislative session now over, Martin County’s state legislators, Senator Rich Draheim and Representative Bjorn Olson, have a lot to consider, both now and moving forward. SHERBURN — During the Sherburn City Council meeting on Monday evening, the council received a report for the Red Carpet Bar and Grill/Municipal Liquor Store in Sherburn. It listed approaching events, including a tasting event on Thursday, May 21. The report said a bartender had not been hired yet. The repair of the Municipal Liquor Store roof was discussed and a presentation from the inspection tour with the Garland company was shown. FAIRMONT— On Tuesday the Martin County Board of Commissioners heard from County Engineer Kevin Peyman about the upcoming construction season, which he said might be the biggest and busiest the county has ever had.
