BLUE EARTH— Discussion on the placement of a new public access safety cabinet was held at the Blue Earth City Council meeting on Monday. City administrator Dawn Collins presented the council with a memo from County Commissioner Gertrude Paschke, requesting direction on the placement of an outdoor public access safety cabinet, which would contain an AED, Naloxone and other emergency medical supplies. “Currently, we have safety cabinets located at the Municipal Swimming Pool, Fitness Center, Police Department, Community & Senior Center and at City Hall,” Collins reported. ...

FAIRMONT— On Tuesday the Martin County Board of Commissioners considered a rent increase to the lease agreements of county owned spaces for both the Human Services of Faribault and Martin counties and city of Fairmont for the Fairmont Police Department, with the first being a three percent increase at a total annual rent of $246,613.20 and the second a five percent increase at a total annual rent of $65,760.
