FAIRMONT– Two more residents threw their name in the mix for the Ward 2 seat on the Fairmont City Council on Monday.

James Kotewa of 610 Washington Avenue and Jodie Whitmore of 1394 Oak Beach Drive are now in the running, along with Amber Hansen who filed for the seat last week.

Incumbent Britney Kawecki last week filed for the councilmember at-large seat, which Michele Miller currently holds. Miller has filed to retain her seat.

Incumbent Wayne Hasek has filed for Ward 4, along with Todd Smith. Incumbent Randy Lubenow and Tom Winter have filed for Ward 3.

Filing is open through today, Aug. 13.
