CEYLON — There will be a 5:30 p.m. service with communion tonight, March 16, at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Ceylon. Members and area residents are urged to attend. Our Savior’s Church also has Bible study 9:30 a.m. each Tuesday morning. Area residents are welcome to join them.

There will be a cribbage tournament today, March 16, at Welcome Legion Hall. Registration begins at 1:15 p.m. and play gets underway at 1:30 p.m. Anyone interested in playing cribbage is welcome to attend. Watch for further information as to whether there will be tournaments in April.

There will be a Lunch & Learn program beginning 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 20, at First Lutheran Church in Trimont, followed by a luncheon. These programs are free to anyone in Martin County. A free will donation for the lunch is appreciated. These programs are sponsored by CREST.

Ceylon Area Historical Society meeting will be held 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 20, at Portage Bank in Ceylon. All members are urged to attend.

Wednesday Lenten services continue at area churches. St. Paul’s Lutheran in Wilbert will have 6:30 p.m. services with a cooperative lunch to follow. St. Peter Lutheran in Ceylon is part of the Circle of Faith parishes and those parishes will meet at Trinity Lutheran Church in Welcome for a meal at 6 p.m. served by the youth group and a service at 7 p.m.

Thank you to all those who attended and participated in the pancake brunch or bake sale held last Sunday which was a fundraiser for the Ceylon Fire Department Relief Association and the non-profit group, Helping Hands of Ceylon.
