Lake Belt Bar & Grill plans May events

CEYLON — Wednesday of next week will usher in the month of May. St. Peter Lutheran WELCA ladies group will have their May meeting at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 1, at the church in Ceylon. All members are urged to attend.

Condolences to the family of former resident, Ruth (Koehler) Rockett, who passed away recently. She will be missed.

There will be one more Tuesday coffee hours for April from 8:30-10 a.m. on April 30, at Sinn Family Celebration of Life facility in Trimont. Join friends and neighbors for good coffee and great fellowship. Tuesday coffee hours for the month of May will be held 8:30-10 a.m. Tuesdays at Trinity Lutheran Church in Welcome.

Lake Belt Bar and Grill in Ceylon will have some special days in May. On May 4 they will sponsor a Trivia Night at 7:30 p.m. in the back room. No registration and it’s free to play. They will also have a bag tournament on May 18. Call them at (507) 632-4696 for further information or to register.

American Red Cross blood drives are scheduled for May. On May 16 at Grace Lutheran Church in Fairmont, on May 20 at St. Vianney Catholic Church in Fairmont and on May 24 at Live Fit Gym in Fairmont. Each donation of blood may save up to 3 people. Blood is urgently needed so give if you are able. Thank you.

Ceylon Clean Up Day is scheduled for May 18 with curbside pick up only. This would be a good time to get rid of the items that are an ordinance violation free. Watch for further information about tags, etc.

St. John’s Lutheran Church in Sherburn sponsors a bus trip to interesting places yearly. In August (18-24) they are planning a trip to the Ark Encounter and Creation Museum in Kentucky. They will stop at interesting sites along the way. Deadline to register is July 15. Check out the information at church@sjlsherburn.com.
